Joining The Group

You should see a list of groups. In the summary, you should see a list of members there. As a rule of thumb, I like to join groups that fit this criteria:
- No less than 500 members
- At least 5 messages during the last 7 days
- All members can post
- All members cannot hide their email address
Go ahead and start clicking through the names of the groups and checking for these rules of thumb. If you skim through the page on the group, you should be able to easily tell if these things are allowed. These things should be located under “GROUP INFORMATION” Do not be lazy.
· Getting Into The Group: Simply click join group if you find the one you like. When you click Join, a box will pop up and you will want to select this option as it is very important: Under Message Delivery, Select “INDIVIDUAL EMAIL”

Some groups require approval first. So if you encounter something like that, just write some BS about how you already do this on your own but you are beginning to lose motivation and need a group to keep you going or keep your knowledge growing. I don’t know, make something up.

· Join As Many Groups As You Can

· Don’t Miss Out On The Nuggets: Now that you are done joining groups, head over to yahoo mail to see if you have been approved. Some groups have some requirements before you join; these things are to filter out spammers or people who are not serious. Yet, they are my favorite groups to join because you can be sure that there will be no spammers. Some Moderators might say something like “In order to join this group, read our terms of service and send me an email saying you accept”. BLAH BLAH.
